Åsa folkhögskola är en dynamisk mötesplats belägen i Sköldinge mitt i det vackra Sörmland. Hit kommer deltagare för att de vill utvecklas, bilda sig och vidga sina vyer. Skolan är såväl allmänkurser, specialkurser, yrkeskurser och olika korta kurser. Det finns ett internat med plats för ca 100 deltagare, en uppskattad restaurang och möjlighet till konferensverksamhet.
Vi vill verka för att väcka engagemang, få deltagarna att känn de kan påverka både sina egna liv och det demokratiska samhället.
Dina arbetsuppgifter
Undervisning i huvudgenre Breaking eller Popping, danspraktik samt teoretisk undervisning. Du är mentor för deltagare i deras utveckling. Arbetsuppgifterna omfattar även ansvar för verksamhetsplanering och utveckling i samarbete med övriga danslärare. Som folkhögskollärare förväntas du även att, tillsammans med skolans övriga medarbetare verka för skolan gemensamma mål och värderingar.
Din kompetens
Du har hög social kompetens, goda pedagogiska färdigheter och vana att leda grupper. Du har goda kunskaper och färdigheter inom specificerad genre. Vi ser gärna att du är, eller har varit , verksam och aktiv inom dansen och kan dela med dig av dina arbetslivserfarenheter till deltagarna. Du har vana att undervisa. All undervisning är på engelska så du behöver vara bevandrad i språket samt ha vana att jobba med mångkulturella grupper.
Vi lägger stor vikt vid personliga egenskaper.
Anställningsform
Tillsvidareanställning med sex månaders provanställning. Tillträde 8 augusti 2022.

Åsa Folk High School is a dynamic meeting place located in Sköldinge in the middle of beautiful Sörmland. Participants come here because they want to develop, educate themselves and broaden their horizons. The school offers general courses, special courses, vocational courses and various short courses. There is a boarding school with room for about 100 participants, a popular restaurant and the opportunity for conference activities.
We want to work to increase involment, make the participants feel they can influence both their own lives and the democratic society.
Your work assignments
Teaching in the main genre Breaking or Popping, dance classes and theoretical teaching. You are a mentor for participants in their development. The tasks include responsibility for course planning and development in collaboration with other dance teachers. As a folk high school teacher, you are also expected to, together with the school's other employees, work for the school's common goals and values.
Your competence
You have high social skills, good pedagogical skills and a habit of leading groups. You have good knowledge and skills in the specified genre. We are looking to see that you are, or have been active in dance and can share your work experience with the participants. You are an experienced teacher. All teaching is in English so you need to be proficient in the language and have the habit of working with multicultural groups.
We also value expertise connected to dance and artistic development. For example; movement training, yoga, physical training, coaching etc.
Form of employment
Permanent employment with six months probationary employment. Starting in August 8, 2022.
